Who
we are

The Center for Church Multiplication is born out of Asbury Theological Seminary’s heart to serve and equip church leaders in an increasingly multicultural, secular, and global context. The mission of the Center for Church Multiplication is to work collaboratively with the schools and faculty of Asbury Theological Seminary to recruit, support, train, and connect Spirit-filled church planters who plant healthy, multiplying, and sustainable churches in every context on earth. The Center also engages global conversations on church multiplication to share ideas and learn from others with a posture of humility, curiosity, and grace.

More than ever before we need to equip leaders to navigate the challenges of the new realities we live in. Asbury Seminary is on the cutting edge of training a new generation to reimagine the future possibilities of the church. We find and engage future church planters from Asbury Seminary and beyond, embracing relationships with denominations and church planting networks to identify and support church planting teams.

We support church planters through prayer, pastoral care, and financial grants.

We train church planters in practical ways through coaching and conferences and by connecting church planters to certificate and degree programs offered by Asbury Theological Seminary.

We connect church planters with each other, with church multiplication networks, and with the research, tools, training, and resources they need.

We learn from and contribute to discussions on church multiplication that are facilitated by partner denominations and global networks. We also contribute to books, articles, webinars and podcasts addressing church multiplication principles, practices and models.
